Workhouse Festival - 4-6 July 2008

Workhouse is a lovely festival on the edge of North Wales. This year was again a little wet at times but it didn't damped spirits. We were lucky enough to have our lovely friends Phil, Jill, Ian and Sally there and we had a great camp at the top of the field with two vans and some tents. The main band we had come to see was Dreadzone who were great, we also caught a few bands we had never heard of before but really liked. Reggae band, Red Stripe, were a magical find, I will be sure to listen out for them in the future. Quercus Burlesque were a weird mixture of all sorts of sounds with a drum kit made out of pots, pans and a suitcase! Our friends from holland, Dread Giveaways also played their very own stoner punk rock weirdness :) The only small drawback about this festival is the amount of groups of teenagers running around site, a bit off putting for those with small children and a bit of a pain for the adults trying to have a weekend away from the kids! Beautiful location, a great price and wicked bands makes this one of the 'must do' festivals of the year.

Below are a selection of photographs from the gathering.
